The next Community BootCamp session started today (11/12) at locations throughout the Bay Area. Teammates Alan, Barbara, Biren, Elyce, Frances, and Steve did Extreme BootCamp last week at Stanford Stadium. Alan, Barbara, George, John M, Kris, and Sabrina were back for more regular BootCamp at 6:00 am this morning.
There were also Stanford classes at 7:00 and 8:30 am. The remaining Stanford class today is at 6:30 pm. The 6:30 pm class needs more people to continue, so please show up tonight if you are interested. You might also want to let Laurel or Keith know you intend to participate in the 6:30 pm class; they are copied on this email.
Community BootCamp
6:30 to 7:30 pm
Stanford Stadium Track
Instructor: Keith Rucker
6:30 pm BootCamp meets at the base of the main ramp into Stanford Stadium. Turn into Stanford University on Galvez Street from El Camino Real. Galvez is the first street south of Palm Drive, the main entrance to Stanford University. Take the first left, which is Nelson Road. Then take the next left, which is Sam McDonald Road. This road passes between the Stadium main entrance on your left and parking lot on your right. You'll see the main ramp gate to the right of the Stadium ticket booths.
The 6:30 pm Stanford BootCamp does not have gym access. However, in inclement weather it starts under the locker room eves and continues in covered walkways and tunnels of the stadium. On clear days we run under the moonlight and street lamps of Stanford. The hour and venue builds special camaraderie!
The 6:00, 7:00, and 8:30 am Stanford classes meet in Arrillaga Sports Center on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and at Stanford Stadium on Tuesday, Thursday. Please check www.communitybootcamp.com for details on other locations.
A regular exercise program builds your core for walking/running. I hope to see you at BootCamp.
Very truly yours,
Scott
